Linwood Gardens is located in the fertile farmlands of the Genesee River Valley. The garden landscape was designed in the early 1900's, an Arts and Crafts style summerhouse, walled gardens with pools and fountains and ornamental trees surround this exquisite countryside with one of the most breathtaking views of the majestic Genesee River Valley.

The gardens include a distinguished collection of Japanese and American tree peonies featured each spring at the "Tree Peony Festival of Flowers." During the summer months Linwood offers a peaceful garden sanctuary for Creative Arts Workshops.

Linwood serves as a private residence as well and is only open to the public for the Festival of Flowers and the arts workshops.

Linwood Gardens is not-for-profit and is listed on the New York State Register of Historic Places.

The William B. Hoyt II Visitor Center at Mount Morris Dam, opened by the US Army Corps of Engineers in 1999, was built to accommodate the thousands of people who visit the dam each year. This 5,400-square foot center features a large atrium, museum, theater and public restroom facilities, and provides a relaxing, educational experience to visitors.

Visitor Center/Museum Open: Daily 8 am - 4 pm
Dam Tours: Friday-Sunday 11 am - 2 pm
Group tours can be arranged for groups of 5 or more.

A three year (2005-2007) expansion project is underway adjacent to the park (Sand Point West) that will be dedicated to restful and educational endeavors with walking paths, garden areas, lake viewing benches and eventually an interpretative center.
