Craig Braack. The geology and geography of NYS put us in
the "right place at the right time" for the construction
of the Erie Canal from 1817 to 1825. Its success led to
the creation of our Genesee Valley Canal which turned out
to be nothing less than dismal, economic failure.

Austin Hancock. The 1941 "HAG" in Geneseo NY is
working hard to restore, maintain, and fly American aircraft
of World War II. Through commemorating and preserving these
machines of history, the Historical Aircraft Group is keeping
these "warbirds" flying for generations to come.

LANDSCAPE. Presenter: Amie Alden. As word quickly spread
nationally and across Europe of the Eden-like genesee Valley,
hoards of influential individuals came to explore and document
the "new" wilderness as they first ventured west
in the early 1800's. Explore why the landscape of this region
drew such intense reaction and how their interpretations
left behind impressions of sublime beauty that have defined
the area.
