Finger Lakes Food Revolution

Do you love food? Are you constantly hunting down the best places to eat in the Finger Lakes?

Sound like you? Then it’s time to join the Finger Lakes Food Revolution!

The goal of the Revolution is to bring the locavore culinary scene in the Finger Lakes to the top of people’s minds. The Revolution ends in a “green-carpet,” Oscar-style event: the first annual Finger Lakes Foodie Awards.

So how do you join in? Head on over tohttp://www.slicediceandspiceny.com and read about the three phases of the Revolution.

Phase One, or “Fall is for Foodies,” gives amateur foodies throughout the Finger Lakes a chance to get their voice heard. Nominations opened in early September for categories like Best Locally-Sourced Side Dish, Best Red Wine, and Best Local Cheese. Throughout the remainder of the fall, the public is encouraged to explore food in the Finger Lakes and nominate their favorites.

Phase Two is the Judging Round, which brings together local and national culinary experts and critics, local food writers, and a panel of select amateur foodies to officially judge the qualified nominations from Phase One in late January.

Phase Three is the first annual Finger Lakes Foodie Awards in March where the “best-of-the-best” in Finger Lakes cuisine will be honored.
